At Rose Haven Counseling, we understand that faith has an important role in our lives as we search for meaning, purpose, and direction. We are bombarded with messages about what faith and spirituality should look like, which can leave us feeling confused or even ashamed. Our goal is to invite you to discuss the ideas and meaning you have about faith and spirituality. We want to create a space where you feel that your faith is supported, perspectives that hinder your attachment to God can be re-evaluated, and a life of faith that supports your mental health can be rebuilt.

Faith is a central part of our search for meaning in this life. It provides the pivotal groundedness that allows us to move through life with purpose. Without meaning, we often find ourselves adrift in the sea of challenges that can make us feel like we are drowning without hope of reprieve. When the story of our faith becomes mottled with fear, it can become impossible to connect with that hope anymore. It is possible to find a faith that both serves and brings you hope, but also challenges you to become what God designed you to be. As we reconnect with our faith, it allows us to reengage with hope for our lives and our future.

Conversations about faith are individual and personal. Your beliefs are created from an intricate model of messages from family, media, and past experiences with god and religion. As we start our work together, we want to really understand the messages that you have received about faith and what those stories and experiences have taught and impacted you in your faith. We want to work with you to find ways that you can reconnect with your faith through challenging those beliefs that no longer serve you, finding and enhancing ways that you do feel God, and re-engaging with practices that enhance your relationship with Him.
